Amount of brew in bottle: 16.9 ounces
Price: $10.50
ABV: 7%
Type of beer: Porter

This beer kind of has a hard name to live up to. The name of the brewery, in english, means “naked island.” Hmmm, good start. The subtitle is, “The Uncompromising Brewery.” Wow, could this get any better?

So the name of the beer… “Porter.”

Well, at least it is accurate.

When it pours, it looks and smells like a porter. It is dark, without too much of a head. It smells slightly smoky and tastes the same. I couldn’t really taste any of the coffee it was brewed with. This beer did go well with the Thai food that we were having for dinner though… Cooled down the “stars.”

Overall, this beer is a good standard porter. Nothing amazing, but not horrible. I wouldn’t mind getting it again, but I wouldn’t rave about it. It is a comfy beer.

Bitterness: ★½☆☆☆

Smoothness: ★★★★☆

Overall rating: ★★★☆☆

Doesn’t sound too amazing at $10.50 per 16oz…
